In 1763 a Prussian king built schooling to produce obedient soldiers and dutiful subjects: children batched by birth year, marched by bells, ranked, standardised. The world got phones, rockets and AI. The classroom kept the machine.

It isn't that children get less clever. It's that school rewards the one right answer and quietly punishes the wrong one, until a child stops risking imagination at all.

Caldra doesn't say "it's far away." It asks: "When you walk past a tree, does it whoosh by fast or slow? Now what about the mountain behind it?" And lets a six-year-old discover distance and motion on their own.
