Privacy Policy

Your child's data is theirs.

The plain-language version of our promises lives on Trust & Privacy. This is the formal policy.

1. Who we are

Caldra Learning is operated by Shanmuk Analytics Private Limited, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India ("Caldra", "we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, or to reach our grievance officer, write to connect@caldralearning.com — we respond within 30 days.

2. Whose data, and the parent's role

Caldra is used by children under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The account holder is always the parent or guardian. Before any of a child's data is collected, the parent creates the account and gives verifiable consent — they confirm they are the child's parent or guardian and agree to this policy at sign-up, and that consent is recorded with its date. A parent can withdraw consent at any time from their account, which stops any further processing of their child's data.

3. What we collect

4. How we use it

Solely to provide and improve your child's learning, keep you informed as the parent, and keep conversations safe. We do not sell personal data and run no advertising trackers.

5. Processors & where data lives

We use a small set of trusted providers strictly to run the service: managed database hosting, speech-to-text, an AI language model, and text-to-speech. A child's account and learning data is stored in a database hosted in India (Mumbai region). Some processing — for example turning speech into text or generating a reply — may involve providers that operate outside India; this happens only to deliver the service, under contractual data-protection safeguards, and never for advertising. We do not sell personal data and use no advertising trackers.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, complete, export, or erase your child's data, and withdraw consent, at any time from your parent account or by writing to connect@caldralearning.com. We act on verified requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you may escalate to our grievance officer at the same address, and you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Retention & security

Raw audio is discarded immediately after it is turned into text. Raw conversation transcripts are automatically deleted after 14 days. Learning progress and account data are kept while your account is active and deleted when you erase your account or withdraw consent, except where the law requires us to keep certain records. We protect data with hashed credentials, access controls, and encryption in transit. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected account holders as required under the DPDP Act.

8. Changes

We'll post material changes here and notify account holders. Last updated: 18 July 2026.
